MEET KATIE

Low Country lifestyle newborn, maternity, and family photographer

Hey Y’all!  I am a wife to the love of my life, mama to two precious daughters, and caffeine addict.  I revel in the amazingness that is coastal Georgia. What a perfect setting to raise my family.  I chose to specialize in babies, kids and families because, well, that’s where it’s at for me. I get my inspiration from a child's giggle and toothless grin. I love to act silly and have a fun time on shoots to make your kids comfortable.

Becoming a mother opened my eyes to the value of capturing precious life moments. It is my mission to produce a priceless archive of those moments for you and your family.

Besides all things motherhood, I love the beach, gardening and camping.

Meet the Team

  • Associate Photographer

I am a full believer that pictures are the best way to capture a memory forever. When you look at them years down the road, they should make you smile and relive that moment. I have a commercial photography degree from the Art Institute of Atlanta. I specialize in portraits because I love working with people but can also shoot anything from architecture to products. I'm very open to whatever people may want or need, and my ultimate goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible during the session and to have fun.

  • Associate Photographer

In 2015, I picked up my first camera after giving birth to my daughter. All I can remember thinking is how I never wanted to miss a moment. Picking up that camera sparked something inside of me. When I hold my camera, I feel creatively free. Free to have fun and curate something special and unique for my clients that are on the receiving end. When you look at my pictures, I want you to feel instant comfort. Like that first sip of morning coffee, or a warm inviting hug from a friend that you haven't seen in long time.

  • Always! My visual storytelling style leans toward candid, documentary approach (the kids being hilarious, the dog licking your face), but posed family photographs with everyone smiling while looking at the camera are also treasured keepsakes. We find a way to work both into our session.

  • The most important thing you can do is relax. Children can sense stress. Think of this as time you get to spend having fun family time. Be prepared to be a goober. I love it when parents bring out their inner silly to help their children smile and laugh.

  • Oh…. let's count on it! As a mama of 2, I absolutely understand this fear (and the reality of it, too!) But don’t worry-I've got a few tricks up my sleeve and just go with the flow. I know how hard it can be to stay calm when you feel pressure to look and act a certain way, so I'll assure you... there's no pressure here! We can work around most big feelings, the kids get to know me a bit, they almost always truly enjoy the session.
