Annual Desko Family Picnic at Wright Park | Bluffton, SC

Some traditions just keep getting better every year. The Desko family’s annual picnic at Wright Park in Bluffton is one of those days I look forward to photographing. This year marked my third time capturing their gathering, and it was every bit as joyful as the first.

With the help of Coastal Picnics, the park transformed into a vibrant space filled with colorful blankets, cozy seating, and a spread perfect for an afternoon of fun. Their setups are never just beautiful—they’re interactive too, with lawn games, football tosses, and creative activities that keep everyone smiling.

The Desko kids are growing so fast, but still bring that same playful energy. This year, there were football catches in the sunshine, laughter-filled chases across the grass, and a quiet moment of painting that showed off their creative side.

It’s such a privilege to be invited back year after year to document not just a picnic, but the heart of a family tradition. I can’t wait to see what next year brings!
