Isle of Hope Maternity Session
Sometimes the most meaningful sessions are the ones you didn’t plan to have. April originally hired me to be her birth photographer and wasn’t sure she wanted maternity photos at all. But after sharing my own experience of how special it is to look back on that chapter, she agreed—and I’m so glad she did.
We met at Isle of Hope, a place where she loves to take walks with her dog. The marsh stretched out under the soft evening light, and the gentle breeze made everything feel calm and unhurried. April’s mom joined us too, which made the session even more special—three generations together as they await the arrival of April’s first baby girl.
April isn’t just preparing for motherhood; she’s already making a difference in countless little lives as the Head Charge Nurse of the NICU at Memorial. She pours so much care and skill into her work, and soon, she’ll be pouring that same love into her own daughter.
This maternity session was more than just photos—it was a reminder to pause, breathe, and capture the beauty of a season that passes all too quickly. I’m so grateful April trusted me to help preserve it.
