A Wilmington Island Dock + Tybee North Beach Engagement Session

Some sessions just feel like an adventure from start to finish, and this one was exactly that. We started on a private dock on Wilmington Island, where the golden light reflected beautifully across the water. It was the perfect setting for some quiet, romantic portraits before heading to our second location.

Our plan was to end the evening at North Beach on Tybee Island. But as we crossed onto the island, a roadblock from the Tybee Police stopped us in our tracks. With the sun racing toward the horizon, it felt like we might miss our chance for that dreamy beach glow. Thankfully, we made it through just in time—ten minutes of sunlight left to work with.

Those last few minutes were nothing short of magical. The sky lit up with warm tones, the lighthouse stood tall in the background, and the ocean breeze added the perfect touch of movement. We captured everything we hoped for in a fraction of the time, which made it even more special.

Sometimes the unexpected makes a session unforgettable—and this engagement shoot is one I’ll always remember.
