Two Generations, One Beautiful Evening
There’s something so timeless about photographing extended families—especially when it includes multiple generations and a new little one on the way. I had the absolute joy of spending a golden evening with the Conlin family at Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island. With two adorable granddaughters already in the family and a baby boy grandson soon to join them, it was the perfect moment to capture this special season of life.
We began the session in the backyard of their vacation home, surrounded by lush greenery and relaxed coastal charm. The natural hedges, tall pines, and wooden deck created an easy, intimate space for everyone to feel comfortable, laugh, and interact. The candid energy here was everything—sisters giggling with their grandparents, playful glances between grown siblings, and sweet belly laughs shared among all.
As the sun became golden, we took a quick walk down to the beach for our second location. Hilton Head’s shoreline never disappoints. The wide open space gave the little ones room to explore while the adults soaked up the calm sea breeze. The setting sun cast the most beautiful glow, wrapping the entire family in warm, golden light.
It’s always such a privilege to document the way families grow and connect. Sessions like this are about more than posed portraits—they’re about preserving genuine joy, milestones, and the bonds that make family life so rich.
