Life In Full Boom: Savannah Magazine Editorial

In the heart of Savannah’s coastal charm lies Sandfly Flower Shop—a boutique floral studio where creativity and Southern elegance blossom in every arrangement. Recently, we had the honor of capturing their branding session and editorial feature for Savannah Magazine, and the result was nothing short of inspiring.

The session was designed to showcase the soul behind the blooms: a celebration of craftsmanship, community, and connection to nature. Set against the rustic textures of the shop’s workspace and the gentle natural light streaming through antique-paned windows, every image told the story of thoughtful design and floral artistry.

From loose, garden-style bouquets bursting with local blooms to delicate centerpieces curated for intimate gatherings, each composition highlighted the intentional beauty that defines Sandfly’s approach. Woven into the session were elements of the shop’s day-to-day rhythm—hands thoughtfully arranging stems, soft laughter among team members, and the organic, unhurried feel of a space rooted in purpose.

The editorial for Savannah Magazine captured more than just flowers; it revealed the essence of Sandfly’s identity. With a color palette inspired by the Lowcountry—soft greens, blushes, creams, and deep botanical hues—the feature felt like an extension of the land itself.

Owner and lead designer Sebrell Smith shared her vision for floral design that reflects not just the occasion, but the people behind it. Whether it's a wedding, an event, or a simple arrangement to brighten someone’s day, Sandfly Flower Shop brings intentionality and heart to everything they do.

This branding session was a reminder that when artistry meets authenticity, the result is something truly worth celebrating.

Keep an eye out for the full feature in Savannah Magazine—and in the meantime, stop by Sandfly to experience the magic in person.
