There is something especially meaningful about photographing a family in the place they call home.
The Crider family invited me into their beautiful Isle of Hope home for a relaxed family session, and it was the perfect setting to capture this season of life. With a new baby, their sweet pup, and plenty of natural light, the session felt comfortable, personal, and completely true to their family.
One of my favorite things about in-home sessions is that there is no pressure to make everything perfect. The goal is simply to capture the connection between the people who make a house feel like home. Whether it was everyone gathered together by the windows, sharing a few laughs, or including the family dog in the photos, there were so many little moments that made this session special.
Their home also gave us a beautiful variety of spaces to work with—from the cozy indoor light to the lush greenery outside. Isle of Hope has such a relaxed, timeless feel, and it was the perfect backdrop for this growing family.
The early days with a new baby can feel like a blur, which is one reason I love photographing families during this season. These photos become a way to remember not only what everyone looked like, but what life felt like—the home, the light, the smiles, the dog wanting to be part of everything, and all the little moments in between.
Crider family, thank you for welcoming me into your home and trusting me to capture this special time for your family. I had such a great time with all of you!
If you're looking for a Savannah family photographer or are interested in an in-home family photography session in Savannah or Isle of Hope, I would love to help capture your family's story in a way that feels natural, relaxed, and uniquely you.
